Supposed to be the best time of year, right?

    I feel as if many people have lost the meaning of it. Commercialized it. A money racket. Why can't we normalize Christmas just being a time for family to get together, rather than all the pressure of feeling like one has to buy gifts? Growing up, I was happy with what I got, even if I didn't always get what I wanted.

     Every day of the year is Christmas nowadays for some! The more people get, the less they end up appreciating what they have, from what I've seen anyway. It may not always be the case.

    Appreciate what you have, always. There's always someone out there with a lot less than you, and they are still thankful.

I Deserved A Seat At Your Table

 An open letter to my father, since nobody reads these anyway. That's right. I deserved a seat - at my own family's table, that I didn't get, and probably never will have. That's all I wanted, love without conditions , acceptance, and your time .  I didn't want your fucking money . That's the only thing you seemed to know how to do, was throw money my way, like crumbs, and expect everything to be ok. No. It's not okay.  Money doesn't solve everything.
